There were shadows everywhere and dimly lit source of light appeared out of nowhere .Being in the presence of utter silence and shadows was unbearable. Somewhere in distance I could here somebody weeping shortly breaking the silence and I was not sure who it was. Soaring pain in the eyelids coupled with an overall numbness was quite puzzling to me.
Where am I?
I shredded my pain and tried to get up but I couldn’t and soaring pain in the head increased drastically. I moved my hand over my head and there it was swollen as i was being hit by something. The only thing I could remember was that of sound of walking boots. I can’t recall how I end up in this place . I almost got up despite the pain. Suddenly my thoughts were broken by small wailing that echoed around me. Few feets away from me there lies a girl lying half naked socked in blood and the deep scars on her body left within me a terror that I can’t feel the pain anymore in my severed head. I was not able to see her though as the darkness had shown it’s pity in hiding her face. I slowly and causiously moved towards her in vain as I listened to the echoing sound of the boots which overlapped her wailing which were dying down as each second passed. As I was about to see her face a hand suddenly fall on my shoulder terrorising me in horror . I turned myself to see the familiar face of my wife looking at me. I was dreaming.
I was there seated in my desk sleeping and dreaming as I was completing the work last night and have some how fallen asleep half through. As I was leaving the room I looked back once again to the unfinished FIR( first investigation report) that lay on the table. In between the papers and his own familiar handwriting there lies the photograph of her with her face unmistakably covered in a deep dark shadow.
Somewhere inside me someone keep on asking…
What happened to her?
What do they gain?
Indian agrarian economy is under scrutiny as to the what media used to say these days. But looking in close with what they say we could not come into a static conclusion on what the real problem is with our agricultural sector. For example recent protests by farmers in different states across the country have created a momentum with protest widespreading across the nation alongside the rising news of frequent suicides. As to contain these issues the ruling parties at different states are just doing the same old trick of waiver of farmer’s bank loans. Thus for a period or a season everything goes well until next year when same old drama arises once again. Media and political think tanks continue to play the safe vote bank politics and blaming games on governmental policies and at the end of day what’s left will be the unsolved issue and same old crisis.
Before looking forward into much more of current issue let look somehow backward into how our agricultural sector performed and evolved itself during last century. Indian agricultural economy after the independence had gained momentum rapidly during the 50s and 60s thanks to lack of industrial growth and 5 year plan. Also the green revolution during the time further paved the way for the growth of the sector. Farmer’s shifted their traditional form of farming techniques to modern world changes and it does reflected in growth. During those period of 60s show agricultural sector provide almost half the total GDP and whose contribution has declined rapidly down these days and continue to fall rapidly. Even so rapid production does occur certain year but more off as a fluctuating phenomena which causes rapid changes in market value of the produces every year. The changes in pattern of weather as well as unpredictable rainfall does create fear among the farmers. Besides the frequent policies by government in last few decades the production of food crops and pulses increased rapidly and thus farmers shifted themselves into different crops as well. But despite putting forward these changes the question still remains on whether these policies and implementation are efficiently reaching the farmers. Falling and fluctuating base prices, Corruption, lack of the proper medium of implementation of government policies etc have further impacted the farmers. Inflow of Foreign Direct Investment to agricultural sector are still a debatable subject on whether it will be a lifeline for farmers or a death wish.
Nowadays anything and everything around the globe can impact our livelihood which means even if Trump decide to invest on Indian agriculture Sector or even decide to go a step forward in tweeting some “confefe” about Indian Agriculture Sector it means to have an impact on Indian Agriculture. Who knows may overnight every problem will be solved and this story would have a happy ending.
It’s been so long since I have posted something in my blog. Life had changed little bit since then and I am so happy to let you know that I have completed my graduation successfully. Also I moved myself into field of cinematography and video post production scenarios rather than dwelling in my comfort zone of photography. Since I have lot of exciting plans for future maybe I should have to look into field bit more seriously than ever before. Therefore the above posted video is a tryout version of VFX matte painting I tried using adobe after effects. It’s just an 15min work…Easy to learn..
A look at my Valentine’s day …
It was a Valentine’s day as usual and to me it was yet another day of laziness. I woke up late ,reached college late, thereafter peacefully slept a lot in unison with others at back bench till afternoon.
By the lunch break I soon started noticing the vibes of Valentine’s day everywhere around the college. It was quite a different atmosphere and for the first time in my life I felt so happy to walk in midst of a crowded walkways filled with dozens of red roses . Everywhere I went I saw the couples enjoying the time off in a different mystical world that I have long forgotten.
I spend rest of the day watching over people without interrupting anybody and it was the sole reason behind these concept photographs I took later the day using miniature couples of match sticks ….
Ignite the fire inside you…
It was indeed beautiful today and the day was coming to an end in different colours and it was a very soothing feeling indeed for me. The bright colours of sky was soon replaced with the emerging darkness and elapsing time whispered to light the lamp. Somewhere in a distance somebody lit a dim light which increased the intensity of darkness.Even i was totally tired I could still make of the many uninvited figures of shadows all around me which tried to catch hold of me. As night crawl slowly I was too tired of anymore fighting and was soon dragged into a bottemless pit of unknown entity. I tried in vain to cry my lungs out for help but no voice came out. I saw in distant a dim light and it was getting hotter and hotter as I fall .I could still see others helpless and tired just alike me falling down on and on. As the light soon engulped me I could feel no more pain and what’s left there was emptiness.
Chembra Peak, Wayanad, Kerala
This peak is a lesser known place but a beautiful place for trekking and a short 4km mountaineering . The most beautiful part of it is the presence of a naturally formed lake in shape of ‘Love’ which is regarded as a popular spot for Valentine’s day celebration. The rough terrain and presence of elephants and Fox can sometimes pose dangers after visiting time.
Do you know that the beautiful part of being a freelance photographer is travelling day after day to most exotic places close to what nature has created. We are thus exposed to close proximity of nature than anybody else.
I love the part when I have seen a new perspective for a photo which is quite enough to quench my thirst for creativity. Apart from being a natural enthusiast my attention on wildlife photography turned upside down after I sought pleasure in experimenting with social photography quite too often these days. Thus the amount of travel I have taken last year has significantly gone down. But this year I managed to take two trips out of which one was just a leisure trip with my college-mates and the other was a single trip on to the hills and I quite feel so happy to be back in my old comfort zones. Here what makes me feel like a free flying bird is that nobody questions your authority or approach apart from the nature which quite often test you with its majestic peaks and wilderness.
It’s been 2 years since my last trip to the forest district of Wayanad in southern India and my enthusiasm was rather high. But my expectations were soon down in vain as to what the forest district have turned into. The wildlife has gone down, temperature has risen, rise of human intervention in forest life have completely dissimated the image of nature and rise of artificiality is visible everywhere. I could not find happiness anywhere and feels so disturbed even with my sleep.
Was there a cry somewhere..Who knows ..As the midnight approached somewhere I could hear a cry that only few could understand, a cry to go back to past. As sleep slowly engulped me I could here a voice somewhere asking me
I photographed this image few days ago and the universal meaning of the family it highlight is quite powerful and significant in the current world scenario where the existence of family is impugned.
All around the world lakhs of families are torn apart in different social situations stretching from much common generation gap issues to much more of an intensified and complicated war like in Syria where an estimated 6.1 million people are displaced. It is seen that the families are torn apart with dozens of children reported to be separated away from their families and yet not to be found. It is reported that lakhs of orphaned children are roaming the streets of refugee camps in neighbouring countries. Here the families are torn apart in a game of power play that have made men go insane despite having the thorough knowledge of what they are doing.
Simply saying “a situation when education have no meaning and all men are barbarians and a world craving for yet another moses”.
Apart from this there are those families out there that are torn apart due to some small issues. These are quite common all around the world and quite clearly unbalance the childhood of the children. Children growing up with their parents separated and a childhood spend without the love and care of parents will seriously affect the children in their future. Majority of the rise in mental illness and depression are the results of such an alienated childhood. Also many parents in last few decades have lost their way half through and resulted in deciding not to have children because they are not sure whether they could handle children along with their jobs and keeping in pace with the time. This is much more of a common trend these days that resulted in many issues around the world such as fall in population and unequal sex ratios. Simply concluding by saying that nowadays people have lost sight of the significance of having a family because of so called “Pressure and lack of sureity on whether they could look after the family”. Although I am quite happy with my family despite having so called ‘pressures’ .
Finally by saying all this I have a question for you ??
What is it family mean to you???
It is said that god created this world in 6 days and then rested on the 7th day.
It is also said that there are 7 wonders in this world.
And also there exist 7 colors in a rainbow.
And so on….. and if i keep on making the significance of 7 i will have to spend 7 days of a week just only to do so. Similarly like 7 every number has its own significance and its own uniqueness .Since the blog is all about 7 , i am going to put forward 7 questions for the readers which are quite easy if you consider the question in a less intriguing way.OK! THEN.. LET’S ROLE …
QUESTION 1 :Life is too short to tolerate _________?
QUESTION 2 :Which is the most happiest place in the world?
QUESTION 3 :If you can make just a 3 word speech to entire world what would you say?
QUESTION 4 :When was the last time you noticed the sound of your own breathing?
QUESTION 5 :Why do pizza comes in Square boxes?
QUESTION 6 :How can you lift an elephant with one hand?
QUESTION 7 : What question can never be answered “Yes”?

These days some models act’s like this..They try relatively very hard to bring everything in and the picture do will look like this way before editing starts…
Modelling is passion for many out there… Everybody love to show off their presence in front of a camera…Creating a presence all over a frame is something that is exceptionally hard to come by these days and we need to do a lot of preplanning and preparations to make it happen succesfully. Sometimes it’s really fun working and sometimes it’s really frustrating when things won’t turn out to be as what we have anticipated.
Even everything goes very well and after we have set everything up and ready to go we may sometimes stumble upon on a serious problem with none other than the model itself. That is sometimes we come across certain models out there who are not at all be eye catchy in any manner but love to do shoots and turning them down from doing so be bad for our business. In those certain situations we needed to bring in extra inputs soon after the shoots to make the frame looks stunning and completely different and plainly saying it’s a hell of a job.
But while doing certain shoots we come across certain people having the gift of beauty that simply be worth photographed again and again. These people could bring out the emotions and feeling to their face without much needed efforts and the naturalism which is present after all will help in receiving some stunning pictures.
It’s the talent or a gifted ability something certain people tend to have in their life and they do make them unique.
Finally it’s 2017 ..Happy New Year to all..
The year started as promising as usual with the same old promises, false resolutions and sham political agendas.Netas woke up early to create a agenda for the year practising the all new strategies to plan for the year. Political conspiracies and plain lies are promised to be unvarying trend that is to be continued this year likewise.
The pundit’s claim that Rahulji’s latest trip to London is said to mastermind another political bomb against Modiji.Since every single one of the previous bombs have failed to explode questions remains on who really holds the trigger in opposition. Also 2017 promises to be a self evaluating year for Congress in basis of forthcoming assembly elections. The BJP on otherhand will continue to push the game with the idea of Modiji’s cashless economy .Despite few unrest last year BJP do hope to have a greater gain in the assembly elections and they have already set an eye on UP elections and the ongoing conflict inside SP will do favour BJP in UP. Whatsoever BJP will receive their answers on move for demonitisation through elections.
Another key point to focus is on the union budget presentation on the post demonitisation era and its own influence on elections and subsequent changes in political circle. Also for the first time in history the railway budget which was merged will only be presented within general budjet. There will also be the implementation of the GST Bill which on behalf will reform the tax system of the country and therefore turn the economy of country under the narrative ‘one country, one tax’.Internationally in 2017 India will have to face quite challenging situations on the policy front dealing with Pakistan and China and their push towards Economic corridor. Also the unrest in the middle East and of rise of various new alliances do surely measures India’s international stand on various issues. Eventually the ascend of Donald Trump to the most powerful post in the world will influence and measure the Indo-US relationship.Despite Trump having a positive stand about India questions still remains on various issues including US stand on Pakistan and of the new tax and immigration policies and its influence on India and Indians.
